Mike Morgan
Mike Morgan has been the head coach of the Carson Graham Senior Boys Basketball Team for the past several years. During that time, Mike helped build the program into one of the best on North Shore. Last season, he led the Carson Graham Eagles to a AAA Howe Sound Championship and a berth to the AAA BC Provincial Tournament. Before coming to Carson Graham, Mike was an assistant coach with the Men’s Basketball team at Simon Fraser University under current head coach Scott Clark. During the past two years, Mike has also been the head coach of the Regional Training Center. He has coached several Provincial teams that have medaled at the National Championships including two silver medals with the U15 Midgets and a bronze medal with the U17 Juvenile boys team. Mike is currently an assistant coach with the Vancouver Titans Basketball Team; BC's newest professional basketball team that competes in the International Basketball league. |

Alex Devlin
Olympian and Basketball BC Hall of Fame member as a player, Alex Devlin has stayed involved with basketball, coaching the highly-ranked Port Moody Blues Sr. Girls’ Basketball Team. A graduate of Burnaby Central High School he went on to be an NAIA All-American while attending Simon Fraser University. He is considered one the greatest university players ever in BC. As a member of Canada’s National Team, Alex represented our country in the 1974 World Championships and the 1976 Olympic Games. He was a member of the National Team for five years (1972-76) before injuries shortened his career. One of the truly nice people in coaching, Alex has begun his 13th year of high school coaching and served as an Assistant Coach at Simon Fraser in the mid-70’s. |

Shaun has 29 Years of High School Basketball Coaching Experience (1980 – Present) as a Head Coach of girls and boys teams at Handsworth Secondary, West Vancouver Secondary and Hillside School. He is currently an Assistant Coach with the University of British Columbia Women’s Basketball team where he helped them win a National Championship in 2006 and 2008. Shaun has extensive experience working with high level athletes as an assistant coach at the Centre of Performance from 2000-2007. He was also the Head Coach of several successful provincial teams including the 2004 U15 Midget team and the 2006 U17 Juvenile team that won gold medals at the National Championships. Shaun was the recipient of the 1999 3M National Coach of the Year Award and was honoured as the 2000 North Shore Coach of the Year. Shaun is a NCCP Level 3 certified coach and currently a teacher and Athletic Director at West Vancouver Secondary School.

Jamie Oei
Jamie started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Langara College under current UBC Head Coach Kevin Hanson. When Hanson moved on to UBC, Jamie took over Langara as a 23 year old and was able to get the Falcons back to the National tournament where he became the youngest ever BC and National Coach of the Year. Jamie then moved to Sweden to Coach Professional Basketball and took the struggling Sallen Basket team from a 4-18 record to a 24-14 record and was runner up for Swedish Coach of the Year. Upon returning to Vancouver Jamie moved on to Douglas College. In his second year the team finished 15-1 in league play and took home their first Provincial title in 13 years. This past year Douglas College set many records. With a pre season win over NCAA tournament bound Boise State, the Royals became the first Canadian College team to beat an NCAA Division 1 team. Douglas then became the first team in BCCAA history to finish 16-0 and went on to become the BC and Canadian National Champions. |

Mike Jackel
Mike Jackel has been a coach with 3D Basketball Academy since 2002. His basketball resume speaks for itself. Mike attended Simon Fraser University from 1978-1982 where he had arguably one of the best careers in the school’s history; he currently holds SFU records for most points in a season (995) and highest scoring average in a season (28.9 ppg). After completing his post-secondary career, Mike went overseas to play professional basketball in Germany’s first division. During his 17 year professional career, Mike was named German Player of the Year twice (1987, 1992). He is currently the all-time leading scorer in the German pro-league (10700+ career points); a record that is unlikely to ever be broken. From 1985-1993, Mike was a member of the German National Team. He helped the country qualify for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. While playing in the Olympics, Mike had the opportunity to play against some of the top players in the world included members of the original USA “Dream Team”; Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone and John Stockton.

Ramin Sadaghiani
Ramin has been coaching with 3D Basketball Academy since 2002. He has been the head coach of several 3D programs including the 2006 U13 Elite Boys that traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, the 2007 U15 Elite Girls that competed throughout British Columbia and Washington and the U16 Elite Girls that travelled to Denmark and the Czech Republic during the summer 2008. Ramin attended Handsworth Secondary School where he played basketball for five seasons (1990-1995). His coaching career started in 1994 when he was an assistant coach at several Basketball BC camps. In 1996, Ramin coached at Braemar Elementary for a season and then the Senior girls team at Handsworth Secondary in 1997. Ramin’s coaching career continued at Sutherland Secondary school where he helped build a strong girls program from 2002-2007. During that time, Ramin led his teams to several top finishes in the Province. In 2008, Ramin returned to Handsworth where he coached the Junior Girls to a 35-5 season. In 2009, Ramin coached the Senior Girls Basketball team that won the first ever AAA Provincial Championship at the school. Ramin attended the University of British Columbia where he completed his degree in Physical Education from the faculty of Human Kinetics.

Thomas Staron
Thomas is entering his 11th year of coaching and has been a coach and administrator for 3D since 2001. Thomas founded the 3D girls program in 2002 and has developed it in to one of Canada’s premiere elite training programs. During this time, 3D has dominated the girls’ club scene in British Columbia, winning Basketball BC’s Club Championships five of the last six years (2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009). Thomas has a multitude of experience coaching both boys and girls at all ages and levels form the beginner to the matured university athlete. Prior to coaching at 3D, Thomas was involved in the Basketball BC Program, coaching and assisting with regional teams at the U15, U16, and U17 levels, as well as provincial identification camps. In addition to 3D, Thomas has also coached at Handsworth Secondary and Argyle Secondary at various age levels from grade eight to senior varsity where he led teams to multiple North Shore and Vancouver & District Championships. Thomas graduated from Handsworth Secondary and attended Simon Fraser University where he completed his degree in Geography. |

Chris Weimer
Chris has been a fixture on the North Shore basketball scene for the past 15 years; from beginnings as a young coach at Dan Miscisco’s summer basketball camps to more recently as a head coach and builder of the very successful Sutherland Secondary girls basketball program. Chris has also spent numerous years coaching and guiding young elementary age athletes through avenues including the Steve Nash Youth League, Elementary School League, Basketball BC and the extremely popular Sabres and Mini-Sabres Basketball Skill Development Camps which he founded. Employed by the North Vancouver School District for the past 2 years, Chris specializes in sports instruction and athletic development of children ages 3-12. He has a diploma in Human Kinetics and Sports Instruction from Capilano College and a diploma in Special Education from Stenberg College. |

Kaitlyn Burke
Kaitlyn was one of the first girls to graduate from the 3D program, became the second Canadian ever to play basketball at Nebraska. Kaitlyn has spent several years in the Canadian National Team program and was one of the first players to attend Canada's National Elite Development Academy in Hamilton. She expanded her international experience as a guard on the Canadian Under-19 National Team that competed at the FIBA Women's World Championships in Slovakia, in July and August of 2007. In five games at the U19 championships, Kailtyn averaged 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the Canadians. The most valuable player of the Canadian Under-17 National championships in 2006, she helped Team Canada to a second-place finish at the 2006 World Championship qualifier. She was also a member of the 2005 Canadian Cadet National Team that participated in the USA Youth Festival. |

John Prescott
John Prescott has coached basketball and many other sports at the local, provincial, and national level for over 20 years. His basketball teams have won many league, zone and provincial championships over the years. In 2005 John was an assistant coach with the 2005 SFU Women’s Basketball who went undefeated and won the CIS Championships. Back in 2001, John was awarded the Basketball BC Coaching Excellence Award for High School Coaches and in 2002 was a Head Coach at the Girls BC All-Star game. |

Matt Raimondo
Matt attended Saint Thomas Aquinas School from 1995-2000 where he had a very successful playing career. In his last season at STA, Matt was a starter on the senior boys’ basketball team that won the AA Provincial Championships. Matt started coaching in 2005 at Sutherland Secondary School. In his first year, Matt coached the juvenile girls’ basketball team to a North Shore and Vancouver & Districts Championship. In 2008, he moved on to coach the senior girls team for two season where he help them finished 9th at the 2008 AAA Provincial Championships (the 2nd best finish in the school’s history). Matt’s energy and passion for the game make me a valuable member of the 3D coaching staff. |

Anthony Fortunaso
Anthony played his high school basketball career at Argyle Secondary School where he helped the senior boys’ basketball team to a AAA Provincial Championship in 2003-2004. His coaching career started shortly after his playing career in 2005-2006 where he was an assistant coach to the juvenile girls’ team that won the Provincial Championships. The following season, Anthony led the Argyle junior girls to an 8th place finish at the Provincial championships. Anthony continues to be the head coach of the junior girls program at Argyle Secondary where he looks to carry on the strong basketball tradition. Anthony is a huge asset to the 3D program and we are very lucky to have him work with our athletes. |

Kevin Shaw
Kevin has been one of the longest members of 3D beginning his basketball pursuits back when he was in grade 6. He is currently a fifth year guard at SFU where he is pursuing his degree in Business. Kevin is a talented coach with ability to motivate and communicate with 3D’s younger athletes and providing them the proper fundamentals to have a successful basketball career. |

Sean Burke
A 3D athlete since grade 6, Sean Burke was a member of the inaugural graduating class of 3D where most went on to play post-secondary basketball. Sean Burke is currently the starting point guard for the Simon Fraser University Clan (2005-current) and played his high school career at Argyle Secondary school. Burke, who is considered by many as one of the top point guards in the province, represented team BC as a member of the U15, U16 and U17 Provincial teams. During the 2003-2004 season, Sean led the Argyle Pipers to a AAA High School Boys Provincial Championship where he was named to the tournament’s 1st All-Star team. We are lucky to have Sean continue to share a wealth of experience and knowledge with our 3D athletes. |

Ben Frisby
Coach Ben is one of our coaches that is currently pursuing his career as a CIS athlete at the University of Waterloo where he is completing a degree in Economics while starting for the Waterloo Warriors. Ben was a 3D athlete for 5 years while he finished a successful high school career at Argyle Secondary where he helped his team to a AAA Provincial Championship. He is an incredible skills coach with an intense passion for developing athletes through the 3D way. |
