Four 3D athletes play for the Burnaby South Rebels with all of them playing key roles in their team’s success at the HSBC: Ater Degal, Jok Malek, Lazar Cuk, and Daniel Edwards. Degal was selected to the all-tournament team. The High School Girls Championship game showcased the dynamic duo of Diana Lee and Kristjana Young, both members of our 3D Elite program. The Handsworth duo led the team to a 74-42 victory over the Riverside Rapids; a repeat match-up of last year’s provincial championship game. Kristjana Young took over the game early (18pts, 15rb, 9ast, 6stl) while her Boise State bound partner, Diana Lee, controlled the backcourt (13pts, 4ast, 5stl, 39min). Both were selected to the all-tournament team with Young also being awarded the tournament’s “Most Complete Player”.
