3D Elite teams are a chance for the top players to train with a group of their Elite peers. Tryouts for boys and girls 3D Elite teams begin as early as grade 5 and are open to age groups all the way to grade 12. Many of these teams participate in local tournaments such as the HSBC Tournament, the 3D Western Canada Invitational, and Kitsfest as well as travel to the United States and Internationally for exhibition games and tournaments. Some locations in which 3D Elite teams have travelled in the past include: Seattle, Spokane, Phoenix, Portland, Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Colorado Springs, San Diego, Los Angeles, Beijing (China), Copenhagen (Denmark), Prague (Czech Republic), and Nassau (Bahamas).

3D Elite teams are coached by former and current University, College, High School, and Provincial team coaches.
