COVID-19 RESOURCES & ACTION PLAN
COVID-19 UPDATE (ELITE PROGRAMS & CLUB TEAMS)
MAY 20, 2020
It’s been a long few months but we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Basketball operations have been suspended due to COVID-19 but we are looking to resume our programming as we enter “Phase 2” in British Columbia.
As restrictions begin to ease, we are hopeful to start the process of providing a clean and safe environment for our athletes. Summer program priority will be given to those athletes currently enrolled in our Elite program and spring club teams. Please stay tuned as more information becomes available over the next week. The training that we will be offering will be modified to meet health guidelines set forth by ViaSport and the Ministry of Health so athletes will unlikely see any full contact competitions this summer but rather small group training with a focus on individual skill development.
RETURN TO SPORT - PHASE 1
“Individual Development within Community”
We are still waiting for an official announcement from the provincial government but we should have a more clear direction by next week. Some of the guidelines will include the following:
Safe physical distance practices including ratio of players per hoop
Best practices with regards to coaching and instructional techniques with a focus on individual skill development (no partner or small group activity)
Reduced contact points including limited number of people within a gym setting
Controls for those who are unwell or develop signs of COVID-19
Environmental controls regarding gym and locker rooms (cleaning, sanitation, etc.)
Player training gear and equipment controls
Liability waivers for COVID-19
On behalf of our coaching staff and organization, thank-you for your patience! We are in the process of booking gyms & courts right now and sorting out schedules. Once we have been given the green light, we will share all of this information with our families.
COVID-19 UPDATE (YOUTH LEAGUE & MINI-BALL)
April 13, 2020
Dear 3D Member,
Re: Youth League & Mini-Ball Spring Programs
It’s been three weeks since I last communicated with you about the dramatic impact of COVID-19 on our business. Sadly, since that time, we’ve all borne witness to how this virus is impacting our families, our communities and our very way of life. Although these are trying times for us all, I remain optimistic that our basketball community will thrive once again.
Today, I want to provide you with an update on our spring credits & refunds and future programming.
At this point in time, we will be cancelling all North Shore Spring Youth League and Mini-Ball programs. We have not made a final decision on spring club teams as there’s still the potential for a season that extends in to the summer. More information regarding this will be coming out towards the end of April when more information is released by our local and provincial health authorities.
Program Credits & Refunds
At the request of many of our families, we will be crediting everyone’s account for the full value of the spring program that you signed up for earlier (Spring Break Camps, Mini-Ball & Youth League). There will be no expiration date on this credit and it can be used towards any future 3D program. We understand that times may be difficult for some of our families so if you prefer to receive a full refund back on your credit card, please email our Tech Team at email@example.com where a refund will be processed within 1-2 business days. Please include your son or daughter’s name and the program name.
These are unchartered water for us so with a new summer season approaching, we will be excited to offer the most summer programming that we have ever offered based on facilities and the situation at hand. Please stay tuned to our website for the most up-to-date information regarding summer camps, leagues, teams and training.
On behalf of everyone at 3D Basketball, thank-you for your continued support and being a part of our extended family. We will play again, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
Until that day comes, stay well.
COVID-19 UPDATE (BLACK & RED Club Teams)
March 18, 2020
Because of COVID-19, we are in a holding pattern and doing our best to plan for this upcoming season under the current circumstances. There have a been a number of discussions with other clubs and tournament coordinators, and the plan is to move forward when safe to do so. We will stay in communication with you and will provide you as much information as possible. We have placed a link on our homepage that will list the most up-to-date information about programming and how we will move forward as a club.
Some important notes:
We are planning to have a season but won’t see any tournament play until MAY 2020.
Practices will resume once we have been given the green light from local and provincial health authorities.
In order to secure your spot, families are required to accept their spot and PAY the initial deposit - no more payments will go through until we have a more clear picture of the schedule. If you are unable to to pay the deposit because of financial reasons, we will still hold your spot but you have to make a request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The clothing package and uniform sale has been EXTENDED to Wednesday, March 25. Players are required to have this package and uniform for THIS SEASON. Unfortunately, there are no refunds on these items. We have decided to carry over this same package in to next fall so families don’t have to purchase another one at the start of next year. To purchase gear please CLICK HERE.
If by some chance the situation is worse than expected, and the spring season gets cancelled, you will receive a credit or refund for your deposit.
We thank-you for your continued support and wish all of you a safe and healthy next few weeks #flattenthecurve #stayhome.

As valued clients of 3D Basketball, we wanted to provide you with information regarding our upcoming programs.
The current situation with COVID-19 is fluid and continuously changing. 3D Basketball is actively monitoring our own local conditions and the recommendations of our local, provincial and federal health authorities to continue with our primary mandate of delivering programming in a safe environment.
