Entering his 20th year of coaching, Thomas has been the director of 3D since 2001. He founded the first girls program and started BC's only Elite academy in 2009. He Co-Founded BC United in 2017 for BC's top female athletes to compete in the G-UAA. He has helped over one hundred players move on to NCAA D1, U-Sports, and CCAA Post Secondary Basketball.
Originally from the Okanagan, Miceail has been with 3D for 8 years. He has coached at a variety of levels with 3D, in Danish 3rd div, as well as at the Secondary High School level in Vancouver. He played professionally in Europe for several seasons in Denmark and Ireland. Basketball is life.
Head Coach / Strength & Conditioning
Coach Curtis is from a basketball hotbed in Toronto where he grew up playing both basketball and football. Since moving to BC he's specialized as a strength and conditioning coach for the past ten years. He's been coaching with the NV Basketball Academy for the past 4 years, and is a big part of the Seycove Jr. and Sr. Girls programs now.
Coach Luka is originally from Belgrade, Serbia where he graduated from the Basketball Academy. He has 20 years of experience in coaching youth basketball professionally. He has coached with a number of clubs in Serbia , Austria and China. Notably with Red Star Belgrade and Yao Ming's club in Beijing. He brings a wealth of experience to young athletes and takes pleasure in molding them into great basketball players.
Coach Ben is a 3D alumni who was a part of the original group of 3D athletes to graduate through the program. As a player he won a provincial Championship with Argyle and went on to captain the team at the University of Waterloo. He has 8 years coaching experience and thrives in helping players refine their skills and fuel their ambition to succeed at the next level.
Coach Petar is originally from Belgrade, Serbia. He is a FIBA licensed coach and graduate of the famed Belgrade Sport University basketball college. A former Serbian 2nd Division player for BC Mladost Zemun. He has 14years coaching experience with youth in BC Mondobasket Belgrade.
Coach Jordan is originally from Manchester England, he has 10+ years coaching experience in Britain as well as recently as an Assistant Coach with the SFU womens team. He brings a wealth of international experience at many levels and loves to get athletes on track to be the best player they can be
Coach Lauren is a former 3D athlete who went on to play and have a successful career at the NCAA level at Smith University. Usually the smartest person in the room but she her humble nature beguiles that fact. She is coaching with a variety of our girls teams with her valuable insight and infectious hard work.
3D United Coach
Coach Rich Chambers will be in the Canadian Coaching Hall of Fame. With nearly 50 years of coaching experience he's really done it all! He started on the girls side, where he became the head coach for UVic and helped turn that program around. He went from assisting to becoming head coach for the Jr. National team on the women's side. He's been a huge part of 3D and BC United for the past 7 years.
Coach Max is a testament to 3D building up players to become great leaders in their community. As a 3D member since age 10, Max had a lot of success on the hardwood. After graduating he wanted to give back and has been coaching with 3D for the past 4 years. He has also coached the Argyle's Gr. 9 boys the last two seasons to top 5 finishes in the province.
Coach Alex is a mainstay in the Vancouver Basketball community and a legend in many ways. As a graduate from SFU, former National team player, Olympic games participant and NBA training camp invitee, he offers a wealth of experience from both the player and coach perspective.
Coach Jordan is a Seattle WA native and recent graduate from the NCAA div II level. He is a committed and dedicated coach who enjoys working with kids at all levels. He abides by the motto of 'love the game and put in the work!"
Coach Luka was a former Howe Sound MVP and high school provincial all star during his playing career at Handsworth. He played his sophomore year of collegiate basketball at Hill College, a top junior college program in the United States. His team reached a ranking as high as 3rd in the country that year. He has also spent extensive time throughout his childhood playing and training with top Serbian professional team’s Junior programs. He loves to push players to get better each and every day.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Reighan Mendoza is a filmmaker and digital content creator. He has helped to propel our increased social media footprint and provides quality video editing. He is involved in a variety of promotional media creation as well as preparing highlight tapes and profiles for our athletes.
